GE2015: SMRT extends train services and selected bus services on eve of Polling Day

SINGAPORE - SMRT will extend its train services and selected bus services on Sept 10, the eve of Polling Day.

In a release on Friday morning, the public transport operator announced that extended hours will apply to the North-South Line, East-West Line, Circle Line and Bukit Panjang LRT.

The last trains from City Hall MRT station to Jurong East and Marina Bay will leave at 12.30am. The service terminating at Marina South Pier will be extended to 12.13am.

On the East-West Line, the last train departing from City Hall for Pasir Ris or Joo Koon will leave at 12.30am.

Last trains leaving Dhoby Ghaut station and HarbourFront station on the Circle Line will leave at 11.55pm and 11.30pm respectively.

For the Bukit Panjang LRT, trains leaving Choa Chu Kang station and terminating at Ten Mile Junction will be extended to 1.30am.

Selected bus services will also be extended for commuters to connect to buses after the last trains.

At the Bukit Batok bus interchange, services 173A, 189A, 941, 945 and 947 will be extended to 1.35am.

Last buses for services 300, 301, 302 and 307 will leave the Choa Chu Kang bus interchange at 1.30am. Meanwhile, service 859A will leave Sembawang bus interchange at 1.25am.

For commuters in the north, bus services 901, 911, 912 and 913 will leave Woodlands bus interchange at 1.20am while 804 and 812 will leave Yishun bus interchange at 1.35am.
