Extended bus and train service hours on the eve of Deepavali

SINGAPORE - Both SBS Transit and SMRT will extend service hours for its trains and buses on Oct 21, the eve of Deepavali.

For the North-South and East-West MRT Lines, the last trains heading to Jurong East, Marina Bay, Pasir Ris and Joo Koon stations will leave City Hall at 12.30am.

For MRT commuters taking the Circle Line, the last train towards HarbourFront station will depart Dhoby Ghaut station at 11.55pm. The last train towards Dhoby Ghaut station will depart HarbourFront at 11.30pm, said SMRT on Wednesday.

SBS Transit will also extend train services on the North East and Downtown Lines by half an hour.

To complement the train services, SBS Transit will extend the last bus timings of 26 services: 51A, 60A, 63M, 181, 222, 225G, 228, 229, 232, 238, 240, 241, 243G, 261, 269, 282, 291, 292, 293, 315, 325, 333, 334, 358, 359 and 410W.

Operating hours of 15 feeder bus services run by SMRT - 173, 189, 300, 302, 307, 804, 812, 859, 901, 911, 912, 913, 941, 945, 947 - will also be extended.

The Bukit Panjang, Punggol and Sengkang LRT lines will also operate till later on Oct 21.
