EV brands close in on Tesla as interest in electric cars grows

SINGAPORE - Tesla has retained its pole position as the best-selling electric car brand here as interest in battery-powered vehicles rises on the back of new incentives.

The American brand registered 180 cars in the first quarter of this year, but this monthly average of 60 units is a far cry from the 154 cars registered per month last year.
