SINGAPORE - Commuters on the East-West Line were affected by delays that lasted for over an hour on Monday (April 10) morning due to a problem with one of the platform screen doors at Bedok station.

Operator SMRT first tweeted at 9.31am, informing commuters to add 10 minutes to their travelling time from Bugis to Tanah Merah stations due to a platform screen door fault.

It later said the delay was 15 minutes. Subsequent tweets added that it was working to recover service.

Normal service resumed at 10.35am, SMRT said.
