SINGAPORE - Certificates of entitlement (COE) ended lower all round except for one at the latest tender on Wednesday (Jan 6).
COE for cars up to 1,600cc and 130bhp took the biggest tumble to end at $45,002 - almost $10,000 lower than its its previous price of $54,301 two weeks ago, and its lowest in almost five years.
COE for cars above 1,600cc or 130bhp slipped to $54,920, down from $55,001. Open COE, which can be used for any vehicle type but ends up mostly for bigger cars, closed at $55,089, down from $57,501 previously.
Commercial vehicle COE fell from $46,001 to close at $42,036 - its lowest in one-and-the-half years.
But motorbike premium climbed from $6,600 three weeks ago to end at a new record high of $6,889.
Trade observers said prices are likely to rebound in the next tender, which is right after the Singapore Motorshow that starts on Jan 14.
