Training for more upper primary English language teachers

More teachers will be trained to teach a revised English syllabus which is being rolled out to upper primary pupils this year.

About 1,000 teachers at the Primary 4 level from 115 primary schools will be trained to teach the language under the Strategies for English Language Learning and Reading (Stellar) programme this year.

The training will extend to all upper primary English language teachers by 2015.
