Train fault at Toa Payoh causes delay on North-South Line

Commuters using the North-South Line had their journeys delayed by a train fault on Thursday.

The train fault took place around noon at Toa Payoh, and passengers in the affected train alighted at that station before it was withdrawn from service.

Commuters at the stations were told to expect 15 minutes of additional travelling time towards Marina Bay. In a tweet, SMRT noted that trains and platforms along this stretch may be crowded.

The operator said train services between Bishan and Marina Bay went back to normal at 12.15pm on Thursday.
