Changi Airport handled 4.68 million passengers in August, an increase of 9.4 per cent compared with the same month last year.

The traffic jump was higher than in previous months due to the long Hari Raya and National Day public holidays, Changi Airport said on Monday.

Flight movements during the month grew 8.2 per cent year-on-year with 29,600 landings and take-offs.

The cargo sector continued to be weak with 151,000 tonnes processed last month, a slight decline of 0.5 per cent compared to last year.
