The highlight of this year's Total Defence campaign is the new activity that involves teams completing tasks and raising money for charity.

Called the TD Challenge, it will be held on Feb 15 and 30 teams will complete a series of tasks for points which will then be converted into monetary sums to be donated to charity.

Other Total Defence activities include a online photo montage that members of the public can contribute to and an animation competition for students.

Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen is the guest of honour at Total Defence Day on Feb 15 where the theme is "Will you stand with me?".
