SINGAPORE - Carrier Singapore has clarified that Toshiba air-conditioning products, which it distributes, will continue to be available through Toshiba Carrier Corporation, a joint venture.
The clarification comes after Toshiba said last month that it will withdraw from the television and appliances market in Singapore due to strong market competition.
The Chinese evening newspaper Shin Min Daily News had earlier reported that Toshiba Singapore sent a notice to its retailers, announcing that some products will be withdrawn from the local market.
