Three arrested for break-ins, two others for retaining stolen property

Police have arrested three men, aged between 24 and 28, believed to have been behind three cases of break-ins at private residential estates. Two female accomplices, both aged 24, were also arrested for allegedly dishonestly retaining stolen property.

Between 9.10pm and 11.05pm on Sunday, three break-ins were reported at private residential estates located in the vicinity of Lorong Sarhad and Springwood in Pasir Panjang. Cash, jewellery and luxury watches amounting to more than $110,000 were reported to be stolen.

With the aid of CCTV footages, officers from the Clementi Police Division and the Police Intelligence Department nabbed the male suspects in the vicinity of New Bridge Road on Wednesday morning. The two female accomplices were arrested in the vicinity of Clementi Ave 5 on the same day.

Investigations revealed that the men had gained access to the private properties by scaling the boundary walls and climbing in through unsecured rear doors or windows.
