SINGAPORE - His business revolves around travel, and every other week over the past nine months, he has visited various destinations in Europe and Asia, including Singapore.

The Covid-19 pandemic had put the brakes on travel worldwide for a chunk of 2020 and much of 2021, but Mr Kyle Francis Gendreau, the chief executive of American luggage manufacturer and retailer Samsonite, has noticed signs of recovery over the past few months.
