SINGAPORE - The Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, General Worapong Sanganetra, visited Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen on Wednesday afternoon.
General Worapong, who has been in Singapore since Monday, also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Ng Chee Meng earlier in the day after inspecting a guard of honour.
"General Worapong's visit underscores the close and long-standing defence ties between Singapore and Thailand," the Defence Ministry said in a statement.
"Both armed forces interact regularly through exercises, high-level visits, courses and other professional exchanges. These interactions have bolstered the friendship and understanding between personnel of both armed forces."
