SINGAPORE - Bukit Timah Road and Dunearn Road will each have a section temporarily closed in the early hours of April 25 and 26 to facilitate the removal of a pedestrian overhead bridge near Jalan Jambu Ayer.

This is to support ongoing drainage upgrading works along the Bukit Timah Canal, national water agency PUB said in a social media post on April 21.

The affected stretch of Bukit Timah Road runs from Cascadia Condominium to Nexus Condominium. Dunearn Road is affected between Binjai Park and Jalan Jambu Ayer. Both sections will be closed to the public from 12.30am to 6am on the two days.

PUB said a replacement pedestrian overhead bridge has already been constructed nearby and is currently in use.

Motorists travelling towards Sixth Avenue are advised to use an alternate route via Jalan Jambu Mawar and Jalan Jambu Ayer. Those heading towards Clementi Road should detour via Wilby Road and Old Holland Road, continuing on to Blackmore Drive.

Barricades, diversion signs and road marshals will be deployed to guide affected motorists. PUB has advised road users to drive cautiously and observe information signs.
