A section of Toa Payoh Lorong 6 between Lorong 2 and Lorong 4 will be temporarily closed to traffic from 1am to 5am on Thursday.

The temporary road closure is to facilitate the demolition of an overhead bridge across Toa Payoh Lorong 6 near Toa Payoh Swimming Complex, said the Housing & Development Board in a statement on Monday.

Motorists heading towards Toa Payoh Lorong 6 from the Pan Island Expressway (PIE), Toa Payoh Lorong 2 and Kim Keat Link can use alternative routes along Toa Payoh Central. Motorists travelling along Toa Payoh Lorong 4 headed towards PIE (Changi) should exit through Kim Keat Link. Motorists travelling along Toa Payoh Lorong 4 headed toward PIE (Tuas) should use Toa Payoh Central Road and exit through Toa Payoh Lorong 2.

Blinking lights, barricade and diversion signs will be put up to guide affected motorists.
