A teenager who was filmed throwing a traffic cone from a Housing Board block last Thursday has been arrested.

The Straits Times understands that the incident happened at night on one of the higher floors at Block 856, Tampines Street 82.

The police confirmed with The Straits Times yesterday that a report was lodged and the 19-year-old was subsequently arrested for committing a rash act.

His actions, filmed by his friend in an Instagram Story, drew public attention after the video was shared on Facebook last Friday.

Standing at a staircase landing, the teenager was seen laughing before hurling the traffic cone over the ledge.

The Straits Times understands no one was injured. Police investigations are ongoing.
