A taxi caught fire near North Buona Vista Road on Friday evening but no one was hurt.

A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman told The Straits Times that a call received at about 6.35pm informed them of a taxi up in flames near the Star Performing Arts Centre.

The taxi driver had already left his car when SCDF officers arrived and the flames were put out with a water jet.
