The Tampines Regional Library is set to receive a 56,000 Chinese language children's books from the Chou Sing Chu Foundation. The Chou Sing Chu Foundation is a non-profit organisation named after the late founder of Popular Group, who contributed to Chinese education, culture and language in Singapore's early years.

Some 32,000 books will be on the shelves in 2016. Another 24,000 books will be in the library in the next five years.

The books will arrive in time for the library's move to Tampines Town Hub in 2016.

The National Library Board and the foundation will also be working together on the 'irememberBookstores' campaign as part of the Singapore Memory Project, with the foundation helping to gather memories of past and present bookstores from the public.
