Taming the me-first mentality

It started as a way for our children to be of service to others. But our monthly visits to a nursing home have also forced me out of my comfort zone

For some time now, my husband and I have been thinking of ways to involve our two kids in activities that would help curb their me-first mentality.

Like many children in Singapore, they are blessed enough to lead a comfortable life, but not attuned enough to appreciate their good fortune.
