Lanterns decorated by pre-schoolers from PCF Sparkletots and My First Skool catch the eye of a young girl. The pre-schoolers had decorated 500 lanterns at a workshop, and their handiwork was displayed at a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration organised by the Yio Chu Kang Grassroots Organisations yesterday. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was the guest of honour at the event, held at a park along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5. Along with Ang Mo Kio GRC MP Koh Poh Koon and Sengkang West MP Lam Pin Min, about 1,000 residents joined in the festivities, taking part in activities such as a pomelo-peeling contest.
