Madam Lai Huat So, 80, has been selling drinks on weekends in Pulau Ubin for the past 23 years. Ah Ma Drink Stall is a familiar sight to residents and regular visitors to the island.

The 23-year-old Ah Ma's Drink Stall in Jalan Jelutong was weather-beaten and leaning dangerously because the ground was sinking.
