SINGAPORE - Hordes of tourists? No thanks, says the Singapore Tourism Board's (STB) new chief executive Keith Tan.

When it comes to luring visitors to our shores, quality over quantity is his mantra. But it is not the well-heeled that makes for a "quality tourist", he is quick to point out.
