Raffles Place Park in the Central Business District turned into party central for guests wearing giraffe-ear hairbands yesterday, as they marked the end of a week-long drive to raise awareness of Giraffes Singapore, an initiative by the Central Singapore Community Development Council to build a community of individuals who stick their heads out for the common good. Five people - the pioneer batch of Giraffe Heroes - were honoured for their work.
