SINGAPORE - The parents of a six-year-old girl who died following a swimming pool accident have settled their lawsuit with Sport Singapore and three others, averting an eight-day trial that would have started from tomorrow in the High Court.

The agreement was cobbled together by all parties in a closed-door mediation session last month that stretched through the day to just after midnight.
