Mr Milton Cheng was elected the next global chair of Baker McKenzie following a vote of its partnership. He will serve in the role for four years from Oct 17 this year.

For the first time, a Singaporean lawyer has been named to chair a leading global law firm.
Mr Milton Cheng, who will take over the global chair of the 13,000-strong legal juggernaut Baker McKenzie, is also the first Asian named to the post.
