Singapore Press Holdings' classified ads portal ST701 bagged two awards in a major web competition called the W³ Awards, which honours creative excellence on the web.

Two of ST701's products - career portal STJobs and motoring website STCars - won a silver each in the general website categories (employment) and mobile applications (services) respectively.

The winning sites were announced in September by the International Academy of Visual Arts, a group consisting of leading professionals from visual arts disciplines. It received more than 4,000 worldwide entries across various categories this year. Websites were judged on their creativity, usability, navigation, functionality, visual design and ease of use.

Mr Johnson Goh, who is head and vice president of ST701, said: "We are heartened that our work is recognised by a very established panel of professionals and an international body. We are glad and hopeful that our users can benefit from our best-of-class features." Since its launch last year, STJobs has seen a 250 per cent in unique visitors to its site, and the STCars app has also recorded more than 40,000 free downloads across all smartphone platforms since it started early this year.
