Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates will fall by as much as $2 across seven gantries and go up by $1 for four others from February to May, said the Land Transport Authority on Tuesday.

The most expensive ERP rates - $6 along the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) and East Coast Parkway (ECP) - will be reduced to $4 for travels between 8.30 and 9 am. The new prices take effect from Feb 3.

The LTA said it will reduce ERP rates by $2 on the westbound MCE and ECP as traffic flow has improved on both expressways during when the road pricing system is in operation. Rates will also be reduced on the eastbound routes.

But motorists will have to pay $1 more at four gantries at the southbound Central Expressway (CTE) after Braddell Road and the slip road from the Pan Island Expressway into the southbound CTE.

The next ERP review will take place in May.
