SINGAPORE – Commuters travelling late on Oct 19 – the eve of Deepavali – will be able to catch trains on the North-South Line (NSL), East-West Line (EWL), Circle Line (CCL) and Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL), which will run till later than usual.

Some bus services will also be extended that night, said operator SMRT in a statement on Oct 6.

The last CCL trains will depart HarbourFront station at 11.30pm, and Dhoby Ghaut station at 11.55pm on Oct 19, while the last NSL and EWL trains will depart from City Hall station after midnight, at 12.30am.

The last TEL trains will leave Woodlands North station and Bayshore station after midnight that night as well, at 12.12am.

There is no extension for Bukit Panjang LRT services and Changi Airport services, said SMRT.

In addition to the extended MRT services, 18 SMRT bus services will also run till later.

They are: 300, 301, 302, 307, 983A, 901, 911, 912A, 912B, 913, 920, 922, 973A, 181, 240, 241, 243G and 974A.

The last buses for services 181, 240, 241 and 243G will leave Boon Lay Interchange at 1.20am, while services 300, 301, 302, 307 and 983A will leave Choa Chu Kang Interchange at 1.40am. Service 974A will leave from opposite Choa Chu Kang interchange, also at 1.40am.

Services 901, 911, 912A, 912B and 913 will leave Woodlands Interchange at 1.25am, which is also when services 920, 922 and 973A will depart Bukit Panjang Interchange.

SMRT will also activate bus service 405, which operates only during selected festive periods during the year. It will run from Oct 18 to 20, from 7am to 5pm.
