An SMRT taxi and an SBS bus got into a collision along Choa Chu Kang Road heading towards Bukit Panjang Road on Thursday morning.

The taxi driver and two passengers from the bus were conveyed conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, said the police, who received a call for assistance at 10.16am

Shop manager Chew Wen Liang, 27, sent pictures showing the extent of the damage to the Straits Times. The windscreen of bus 160, which travels between Jurong East interchange to Kotaraya in Malaysia, was partly shattered and its fender damaged, with one of the headlights missing. Meanwhile, the SMRT cab - whose rear windscreen was completely shattered and bumper crumpled in - had been forced over the curb and onto the pavement.

Mr Chew said he only saw the aftermath, but heard from road users that the bus and taxi had crashed when the taxi was making a turn.

Police investigations are ongoing.
