Singapore's total population grew by some 1.2 per cent from 5.47 million in June last year to 5.54 million as of June this year. There were increases in the number of citizen marriages, fertility rates and the number of Singaporean births, but the number of working citizens for every Singaporeans aged 65 and above declined.
