Singaporeans give their views on National Day Rally speech in live Facebook chat

About 90 netizens took part in a live Facebook chat organised by government feedback unit Reach on Wednesday evening, giving their views on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's National Day Rally (NDR) held earlier this month.

The session was chaired by Reach chairman Dr Amy Khor, vice-chairman Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim and supervisory panel member Stanley Chia.

Issues discussed during the 90-minute session generally centred around the major policy shifts in education, healthcare and housing.

The webchat is part of a two-week exercise by Reach to get feedback on the NDR. Earlier, there was a public forum held involving about 180 participants on Aug 21. There will be another two youth dialogues on Thursday.
