A 30-year-old Singaporean was charged in court on Saturday with unlawful possession of a black 'Bereta' air pistol under the Arms Offences Act.
Ng Shi Qiang allegedly committed the offence at Blk 932 Yishun Central 1 on Oct 14.
He has been remanded for further investigations and the case against him will be heard in court again on Oct 25.
If found guilty, Ng may be punished with imprisonment for a term of not less than five years and not more than 10 years and shall also be punished with caning with not less than six strokes.
