A fire broke out at an office at Singapore Polytechnic on Tuesday evening.
A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesperson confirmed that the flames were extinguished within an hour after they received a call for assistance at 7.35pm.
Two fire engines, two Red Rhinos, three support vehicles and two fire bikes were despatched to the scene.
No injuries were reported and all staff at the polytechnic were accounted for.
Singapore Polytechnic also confirmed on Tuesday that a fire broke out at its staff office at Teaching Block 2 Level 5.
Classes will not be affected by the incident and will continue as scheduled on Wednesday at different locations, it said in a statement.
Student Cindy Lun, 36, said she knew something was amiss during her night class at the time.
"I noticed smoke. The whole class took a look outside and wanted to call the firefighters," she added.
