In an interview with The Sunday Times, Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing spoke about new areas of growth for the economy, the importance of diversification, as well as global trade and competition.

Singapore has a wealth of new opportunities to explore and exploit, including more efficiently farmed food, petrochemical products with a lower carbon footprint and ecotourism, said Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing.

He told The Sunday Times in a wide-ranging interview last Thursday that there are emerging trends that play to many of the country's strengths.
