Singapore condemns attack on Tunisia's Bardo Museum

SINGAPORE - Singapore on Thursday condemned an attack in Tunisia that killed 17 foreign tourists and two Tunisians.

"Singapore condemns the attack on the Bardo Museum on 18 March 2015 that has resulted in the death of and injury to many people, including foreign tourists and Tunisians," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

"We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and support the Tunisian government's efforts in swiftly bringing the perpetrators to justice."

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, in which unidentified gunman dressed in military uniforms chased visitors inside the National Bardo Museum. More than 40 people were wounded.
