The Singapore and Brunei navies are conducting a bilateral naval exercise from Monday to March 15.
Called Exercise Pelican, it is the 32nd such exercise since 1979 and underscores strong and long-standing ties between the two countries, the Defence Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
The exercise involve discussions on tactics as well as simulation exercises in naval warfare. These include anti-surface, anti-submarine and anti-air operations.
Besides Exercise Pelican, the two navies also interact regularly through visits, professional exchanges and cross-attendance of courses, added the Ministry.
