Singapore, Botswana affirm warm ties as PM Lee meets with the African country's president

SINGAPORE - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong met Botswana president Ian Khama at the Istana on Saturday, when they reaffirmed the warm relations between Singapore and the African country.

They also discussed ways to step up bilateral and economic links between both countries. President Khama acknowledged the close cooperation between the Singapore Civil Service College and the Botswana Public Service College in the training of Botswana's senior civil servants.

President Khama was on transit in Singapore, on the way home after a visit to Seoul.
