SINGAPORE – Selected train and bus services will run later than usual on May 11, the eve of Vesak Day.

Train services on the North East and Downtown lines, as well as on the Sengkang and Punggol LRT systems, will be extended by about half an hour, said public transport operator SBS Transit (SBST) on May 5.

For the North East Line, the last train departing Punggol Coast station and Harbourfront station will be at midnight and 12.30am respectively.

On the Downtown Line, the last train will leave Bukit Panjang station and Expo station at 12.03am and 12.04am respectively.

The Sengkang and Punggol LRT systems will see the last trains departing Sengkang station at 1.06 am and Punggol station at 1.09am.

In a separate statement on May 6, public transport operator SMRT said the last train will depart at 12.30am from City Hall station on the North-South and East-West lines.

On the Circle Line, the last train will leave Dhoby Ghaut station at 11.55pm, and HarbourFront station at 11.30pm.

On the Thomson-East Coast Line, the last train will depart from Woodlands North station at midnight and Bayshore station at 12.12am.

A total of 35 bus services operated by SBST and SMRT will also have extended operating hours.
