They dot the neighbourhoods around Singapore, and sometimes contribute to the island's nighttime symphony.

But what goes on in the minds of Singapore's cats?

In the Singapore Tourism Board's latest promotional video, viewers can see the sights and sounds of Singapore from the eyes of cat Didi, who resides in Tiong Bahru.

In the quirky kitty-centric video, Didi is on his way to an audition to be the cat of the trendiest neighbourhood in Singapore, and along the way, he introduces his compatriots in the different parts of town.

Each cat embodies some aspect of its location. Ginger cat Bella, who represents Garden's By the Bay, is 'the new kid on the block' and 'the trending topic' while tortoiseshell Froo Froo is 'the classy one from that part of town'.

Didi is voiced in the slinky tones of actor Chua Enlai.

Since it was uploaded on the Your Singapore Facebook page on Wednesday (Jan 13), the video has received more than 4,000 shares, and 2,700 likes. Cat lovers around the island have also shared photos of their own or their neighbourhood cats in the comments
