Salvation Army assembles 3D video with donated items for National Day

SINGAPORE - With National Day just a week away, The Salvation Army Singapore has wished the Republic a happy birthday with a video.

The 46-second clip, published on YouTube on Monday (Aug 1) shows Singaporeans donating items, before ending with a 3D installation of The Salvation Army's logo - in its usual fetching red and white - and another less-elaborate installation with the message "Happy Birthday Singapore".

The installations were created by "painstakingly arranging a variety of donated items together", it said.

The video comes hot on the heels of Starhub's touching National Day video, in which 51 Singaporean mothers from all walks of life sing the National Anthem.

Titled Majulah Moms, the video has been viewed more than 210,000 times on YouTube since it was uploaded on July 28.
