Singapore's own version of sakura was seen blooming yesterday as an SMRT train bound for Pasir Ris MRT station made its way past the canopies of Tabebuia rosea, also known as trumpet trees. The flowering trees resemble Japan's famed cherry blossoms, and added a touch of colour to the sea of green at Sun Plaza Park in Tampines.
