SINGAPORE - With its focus squarely on cyber attacks, disinformation campaigns and other digital threats, the upcoming Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) could be a game changer for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

The new digital force - the SAF's fourth service after the army, navy and air force - will be responsible for intelligence, cyber and psychological defence, as well as advancing the SAF's connectivity so that it can fight better as an integrated force.
