SAF to conduct training exercises island-wide this month

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will be conducting military exercises at Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Jalan Kwok Min, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Bedok Jetty, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang, Mandai from 8am on March 11 to 8am on March 18.

Live-firing exercise will also be conducted in Pasir Laba Live Firing Area during the same period, said a statement by the Ministry of Defence on Friday.

Sea vessels sailing through the Western Johor Straits during these times are advised to keep within the 75m Navigable Sea Lane and not to stray into the live firing boundary.

The public is keep clear of these areas and not be alarmed as live ammunition and pyrotechnics will be used.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force will also conduct live firing exercises around Pulau Sudong, Pulau Pawai and Pulau Senang this month.

Flares will be released during the night firing and the public is advised to keep clear of these areas during the exercise times.
