SAF conducts military exercises from April 1 to April 8

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will be conducting military exercises at Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Jalan Kwok Min, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Bedok Jetty, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang, Mandai from 8am on April 1 to 8am on April 8.

Live-firing exercises will also be conducted in Pasir Laba Live Firing Area during the same period, said a statement bythe Ministry of Defence on Thursday.

Sea vessels and crafts sailing through the Western Johor Straits during this period are advised to keep within the 75m Navigable Sea Lane and not stray into the Live Firing Boundary.

The public is advised to stay clear of these areas and not be alarmed as live ammunition and flares will be used during the exercises.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force will also be conducting live-firing exercises around Pulau Sudong, Pulau Pawai and Pulau Senang around the same period. Flares will be used during night firing exercises, and the public is advised to keep clear of the these areas.

In addition, the Coastal Police will be conducting live-firing exercises around the Southern Islands Live Firing Area (SILFA) on April 6.
