Sabah quake: Bodies of Tanjong Katong Primary pupil and teacher arrive today

The remains of Tanjong Katong Primary pupil Navdeep Singh Jaryal S/O Raj Kumar and teacher Mohammad Ghazi Bin Mohamed will return to Singapore this afternoon, according to a statement by the Ministry of Education.

Navdeep, 13, and Mr Ghazi, 35, died on Mount Kinabalu after the earthquake that struck Sabah on June 5.

Their remains were identified through fingerprinting and personal belongings on June 10 after a search.

The Sabah quake has now claimed the lives of 10 people from Singapore - seven pupils and two teachers from Tanjong Katong Primary, and the adventure guide who accompanied them on the trip to Mount Kinabalu.
