It is World Down Syndrome Day today. For the whole of next week, the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (Minds) is calling for people to go out in rainbow-coloured socks to raise awareness of the diversity in our midst. Yesterday, some students from the Singapore American School kicked off by pulling up brightly coloured socks in class. They also worked alongside Minds clients to tie-dye white socks, which will be sold to raise funds for Minds.
