SINGAPORE - The police will be conducting a security operation at Infinite Studios at 23 Media Circle in the one-north district on April 17.

In a statement on April 16, the police said they will carry out security checks on all vehicles entering the premises on that day and have advised the public to comply with all instructions.

Non-compliance will be dealt with firmly due to security concerns, they added.

The police did not provide further information about the event on April 17.

Traffic and parking arrangements will be in place to facilitate an event at the premises that day.

Motorists are advised to avoid Media Walk, Portsdown Road (between Media Circle and Infinite Studios), and One-North Avenue (from the junction of Media Circle towards Portsdown Avenue), and to use the following alternative routes instead:

  • Stars Avenue followed by Portsdown Road for access to Media Circle

  • Stars Avenue for access to Portsdown Road

  • Ayer Rajah Crescent for access to the AYE

The following roads and lanes will be closed to vehicular traffic from 11pm on April 16 to 9pm on April 17:

  • One-North Avenue (between Portsdown Avenue and Media Circle/Media Link, towards Portsdown Avenue), including: slip road into Portsdown Avenue, and slip road from Media Circle

  • Media Circle (from lamp post 11F/junction of Media Circle to lamp post 18F)

  • Media Walk (from lamp post 1F to 6F)

  • Portsdown Road (between Media Circle and lamp post 66)

  • Media Link (from lamp post 9, after Ayer Rajah Crescent, to junction of One-North Avenue; right two lanes of the four-laned road towards Media Circle)

  • One-North Avenue (from lamp post 25, after Ayer Rajah Crescent; lanes 2 and 3 of the four-laned road until Media Circle, towards Portsdown Avenue)

Only authorised vehicles, police, and emergency vehicles will be allowed access during the closure.

Police and auxiliary police officers will be deployed to the area to assist and direct traffic.

Due to limited parking spaces at Infinite Studios, the public is encouraged to use public transport or arrange alternative transport options such as taxis and ride-hailing services. Illegally parked vehicles or those causing obstruction will be towed.

Some bus services will also be affected.

On April 17, from the start of bus operations until 9pm, SBS Transit Service 191 will skip two bus stops due to the road closures. The affected stops are:

  • In front of Infinite Studios (18211) in Portsdown Road

  • In front of Mediacorp Campus (18201) in Media Circle

Drones restricted

In addition, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore will impose a Temporary Restricted Area over Infinite Studios and its vicinity from 9am to 1pm on April 17.

During this time, aerial and unmanned aircraft activities without the necessary permits are prohibited.

Offenders may face fines of up to $20,000 for a first offence under the Air Navigation Order, and up to S$40,000 or 15 months’ jail, or both, for subsequent offences. Under the Air Navigation (101 – Unmanned Aircraft Operations) Regulations, penalties can go up to $50,000 or two years’ jail, or both, for a first offence; and $100,000 or five years’ jail, or both, for repeat offences.
