River Safari soft opening on April 3, discounted tickets for initial phase

Visitors can explore eight iconic river habitats featuring freshwater animals when the River Safari opens from April 3.

The 12-ha river-themed wildlife park, nestled between the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari, will have 69 exhibits featuring 150 plant species and 300 animal species.

The park will also showcase animals from freshwater habitats such as the Mississippi, Nile and Amazon rivers. These creatures include the Giant Salamander, the Mekong Giant Catfish and the Giant River Otter, the world's largest otter which can grow up to 1.8metres.

The park will open from 9am to 6pm daily.

As some exhibits and attractions such as the river boat ride are not ready yet, daily admission during the initial soft opening phase will be priced at a discounted rate.

It will be priced at $25 for adults, $16 for children aged between 3 and 12 and $12.50 for senior citizens above 60.
