Revisit the sights and sounds from the Punggol East by-election

It's been a week since Workers' Party candidate, Lee Li Lian, 34, triumphed in a four-cornered fight against the ruling People's Action Party's (PAP) Dr Koh Poh Koon, the Reform Party's Mr Kenneth Jeyaretnam and Singapore Democratic Alliance's Mr Desmond Lim on polling day, Jan 26, 2013. The latter two lost their electoral deposits.

The opposition party candidate made history by garnering 54.5 per cent of the votes, beating PAP's Koh Poh Koon who got 43.73 per cent out of 29,441 valid votes cast.
