Six F-16C Fighting Falcons, one united team. These are the Black Knights - the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) aerobatics team - flying in formation over the South China Sea. This year's team, the 14th in the RSAF's history, was formed six months ago and has been hard at work, training five days a week for this weekend's celebrations to mark Singapore's 50th birthday. First formed in 1973, the Black Knights are made up of some of the best fighter pilots. Only instructors with at least 500 flying hours were eligible to make this year's team.
